What started as a hobby for my mother, in the basement of my childhood home, has flourished into a full brand equipped with fashion, pageant and bridal swimwear. Kandice Pelletier Swimwear was born out of necessity because my mother was fed up with paying outrageous seamstress fees.

Both my sister and I have unusually long legs, a seemingly attractive quality in a dress, but a detrimental feature to one’s bank account. Fixing pants, as a way to save money, quickly snowballed into costumes, dance leotards and ultimately swimwear!

The beginning stages of Kandice Pelletier Swimwear consisted of an assortment of trials and errors. Mediocracy has never been an acceptable trait in my family so when it came time to designing a swimsuit, looking “fine” was simply not an option.

Our experimentations finally paid off when my mother found her niche in constructing a swimsuit that seamlessly hugged a woman’s curves and perfectly accentuated a ones’s figure.

Since I’m no longer performing at Radio City Music Hall and I’ve passed along my crown and sash to inspire and coach a new generation of Miss America/USA hopefuls (visit kandice-pelletier.com), I’m eager to share my mom’s talent with the world through Kandice Pelletier Swimwear!
